1. Our Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Space

BC4x4Women is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all women. We embrace and support women from all backgrounds, identities, ethnicities, and life experiences. Our community is built on respect, solidarity, and empowerment, where every member feels safe and valued.

2. Zero Tolerance for Bullying, Harassment, and Harmful Behavior

We do not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abuse—physical or emotional. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Intimidation, threats, or verbal abuse

  • Harassment based on identity, race, gender, or any other characteristic

  • Physical violence or any act that endangers another person

  • Any behavior that creates an unsafe or hostile environment

  • We do not tolerate making fun of, teasing, or mocking others. We foster a culture of respect and support, where all members feel safe and valued.

Any illegal activity is strictly prohibited at our events, and any individual engaging in such behavior will be reported to the appropriate authorities and banned from the organization.

3. Personal Accountability

Each member is personally responsible and accountable for their behavior and actions. Our group does not support or endorse individuals who violate these policies. If you choose to engage in conduct that goes against our standards, you may be removed from the organization.

4. Freedom to Come and Go

Members are free to attend or leave events as they wish. If you do not get along with someone or do not agree with them, you are welcome to remove yourself from the situation. If a conflict arises, we encourage peaceful resolution whenever possible to ensure everyone feels safe and included.

5. Cultivating a Culture of Inclusivity

We are committed to ensuring that women from all walks of life can coexist peacefully and support one another. This includes welcoming trans women as women and embracing queer, trans, and non-binary femme individuals as part of our community. We strive to provide an inclusive, safe, femme and affirming space for all.

6. Conflict Resolution and Consequences for Misconduct

We will make every effort to resolve conflicts informally, but criminal activity or severe misconduct will result in removal from the group and a permanent ban from future activities. Membership fees will not be refunded in such cases.

7. Supporting Women’s Growth and Independence

This organization exists to uplift, educate, and empower women through outdoor adventures and shared experiences. We are here to help women gain confidence, independence, and a sense of self-worth through a supportive community.

8. Safety as a Priority

While we strive to create a safe environment, our group is run by women just like you. This means that while we do our best, things may not always go perfectly. Your safety is important to us, and we are committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes well-being in every way possible.

9. Respect for Laws and Regulations

We expect all members to obey the rules of the road and the laws of the land. As representatives of BC4x4Women, we encourage members to be upstanding citizens and set a positive example when participating in events.

10. Supporting Our Sober Sisters

We respect and support members who choose a sober lifestyle. While not all events are designated as sober events, we maintain an environment where no one feels pressured to drink or use substances. We strive to create spaces where everyone feels safe and respected in their choices.

11. Drug and Alcohol Policy

BC4x4Women Association is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all members. As such, the possession, distribution, or verbal announcement of substances or alcohol is strictly prohibited during any association-sanctioned activities, events, or gatherings. Any suspected instance of possession or distribution will be thoroughly investigated, with potential consequences including permanent revocation of membership.

Members are reminded that self-possession of substances, including prescription medications and alcohol, should be managed responsibly and in accordance with legal requirements. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination of membership privileges.

12. Executive Authority to Enforce Policies

At the discretion of the executive team, any member who does not adhere to these standards may be removed from the organization.

By participating in BC4x4Women, you agree to uphold these values and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowering community for all women.

We appreciate the cooperation of all members in upholding these standards, ensuring a positive and safe experience for everyone involved in BC4x4Women Association.
